Dr. Roccaforte was introduced to chiropractic medicine as treatment for a severe sports injury to his cervical spine. Dr. Roccaforte was not ready for the surgical option and started researching alternatives to surgery. Just like many, he was unfamiliar with chiropractic and apprehensive for his severe neck injury. Once he found the right Chiropractor, this local doctor changed his life by introducing Dr. Roccaforte to chiropractic and alternative therapies for his injury resulting in the avoidance of an invasive neck surgery. After this life-altering event, Dr. Roccaforte resigned from his successful career as a software/system engineer to dedicate his life to educating others about chiropractic care and to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a physician.
Dr. Roccaforte graduated with a doctorate degree in Chiropractic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. During his time at National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Roccaforte focused his extracurricular education on acupuncture, Kinesio Taping Method, and functional rehabilitation. Through his education, an active lifestyle and his own personal injuries, Dr. Roccaforte realized the importance of functional rehabilitation with Chiropractic care and has integrated this philosophy into his practice.
Dr. Michael E. Roccaforte is a licensed, board certified Chiropractor in the state of Colorado.
In his personal time, Dr. Roccaforte enjoys a variety of activities including Mountain Biking, Hiking, Surfing, Snowboarding, Volunteering, Community events and continuing his education through post-graduate classes. When time allows Dr. Roccaforte enjoys spending time in the mountains, on a beach or in wine country with his wife Merrit. They also enjoy raising their ‘furry kids’.
Dr. Phelan, of Phelan Performance Healthcare, was born and raised in the south suburbs of Denver, and was a year-round athlete participating in baseball and snowboarding all his life. After suffering a low back injury in high school he sought out quick, non-invasive treatment options. Through a recommendation from a family member, he was introduced to chiropractic. To his amazement, his back injury was resolved quickly, and he was able to return to the field pain free. After high school, he chased his passion for baseball and received a D1 scholarship to play at South Dakota State University. It was there he chose to study Biology and Pre-Med which re-ignited his passion for healing. He recalled his experience with Chiropractic medicine and decided he would become a Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Phelan graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2016 with his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine.
Dr. Phelan focuses strongly on diversified adjusting, sports rehab, end range loading, nutrition, DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization), and kinesio taping. Throughout his education he realized the importance of functional intervention with proper mechanical rehabilitation. This re-education of movement patterns along with optimal nutrition was the key to successful patient outcomes. Dr. Phelan takes a full body approach to each patient encounter, and is not afraid to look past the symptoms to uncover the true cause of the complaint. His combination of treatments has allowed each patient to elevate their potential, and achieve their health and wellness goals.
Jacqueline Thomas received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, Kenmore Campus, in June 2014. She currently holds medical licenses in Colorado and Kansas, where she is held to each state’s unique naturopathic practitioner laws and regulations. Jacqueline has had a seemingly arduous journey through the last few years – mentally, physically, and soulfully – that has sculpted her passion as a holistic healthcare provider. In her younger years Jacqueline had a veracious appetite for adventure and new experiences, and as she’s gotten older this curiosity has turned inward, to herself, her practice of medicine, and her appreciation for simply being alive. Jacqueline wakes up each day and believes that her ability to practice medicine isn’t just restricted to appointments, but can be integrated into everything she does, where she strives to make her life and work seamless. Jacqueline believes that many disease processes begin when the body becomes deficient, stressed, and challenged by the woes of modern living, so as a Naturopathic Doctor, her ultimate goal is to help her patients discover the hidden causes behind their health issues and to aid the body in fortifying its many different systems to create an internal environment that enables self-healing and optimal functioning. Dr. Jacqueline’s passions outside of medicine are abundant, but she is anchored deeply to her close friends and family; she also loves to write poetry, paint, meditate, travel, explore new foods, discover new artists and musicians, and drink wine with a good book in her hands.
